Beach hopping and Pete's Pub

We made some great friends last week, honeymooners from Alabama/Mississippi!
We were lucky that they wanted
to spend a day with us beach hopping and making a trip down
to Pete's Pub, Little Harbour www.petespubandgallery.com !

We found a deserted beach and anchored for a picnic and lots of sun and good times.

Once we had gotten a little too much sun, we headed down to Pete's Pub for more sun! and more beach combing.......

The gorgeous beach on the ocean at Little Harbour, relaxing and peaceful, contemplative and very restorative:

Perfect spot for newlyweds....................

We had so much fun, but eventually we had to call it a day and head back home to our island of Lubbers' Quarters......and then an impromptu pizza run to Sea Spray Resort for dinner where Jammin' Jan was performing!

And then, the next morning, we had to say goodbye to our new friends....hopefully, we will see them again next year for their first anniversary, if not before!

Well, we hope to post more outings and activities soon, so until then, we miss you and look forward to having you here whenever any of you can make it, for another island getaway!

Dinner at Lubbers' Landing

Fish for Dinner! And Pineapple Coconut Soup...
The guys went for dinner and here is the amberjack they caught...

So on the grill went the potatoes, asparagus with lemon juice and olive oil and the amberjack, with some shrimp skewers. Everyone pitched in to help and it was a lot of Fun! Actually, that was the motto for the evening, It's all about the Fun! So, of course we had to make our signature Pineapple Seafood Bowls, recipe courtesy of Sandra Lee: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/sandra-lee/pineapple-seafood-bowls-recipe/index.html

The loaded grill...

It was all so delicious....coconut milk, pineapple, hot chili sesame oil, fresh asparagus, and cilantro with hot curry seasoning, blended up (uncooked for me and anyone else to try), and then the seafood was added individually to taste: shrimp marinated in wasabayaki sauce, the grilled amberjack and the lemon asparagus, with fresh cilantro on top, yummmm! And it was beautiful!
We talked and ate, swapping stories, and then watched the moon come up and played Jenga and planned another day.....
